About Drywall Repair Garden City

We repair, hang and finish drywall inside your home, and we write down what we find along the way. When a leak or accident is headed toward an insurance claim, our notes and photos give you and your adjuster a clear record of the damage.

Why We Work the Way We Do

Drywall damage rarely stops at the stain you can see. A ceiling that sagged after a leak above it may have wet gypsum core, loosened screws and paper facing that has started to delaminate. A hole from a door handle is usually just a hole. We look past the surface first, because the repair depends on the cause.

That habit turned into the way we handle insurance work. Many callers are in the middle of a claim and are not sure what their adjuster needs. We take dated photos before we cut anything, measure the affected area, note moisture readings where water was involved, and list the materials that need replacing. You get that record to share however you choose. We do not decide coverage or speak for your insurer. We describe the damage accurately and let the adjuster do their job.

After the paperwork comes the part you will live with: the wall itself. We cut back to sound material, set new panels or patches on solid framing, tape and embed the joints, and build up joint compound in thin coats. Sanding, texture matching and a paint touch-up bring the repair back in line with the surrounding surface, so it does not read as a patch under a lamp or window light.

How We Handle Every Job

  1. 01

    Cause before cosmetics

Covering a water stain without finding out whether the drywall behind it is still wet just brings the stain back. We check the board, the fasteners and the framing we can reach, and tell you plainly if something outside our work needs attention first.

  2. 02

A written record you can use

Before and after photos, measurements and a line-item estimate that separates removal, new board, finishing and touch-up. Clear line items make it easier for you and an adjuster to compare notes.

  3. 03

Dust stays where we are working

Dry compound turns to a powder light enough to drift down a hallway and settle on shelves in the next room. Before any sanding starts, we put down drop cloths, wrap nearby furniture and tape plastic across open doorways when the layout calls for it. At the end of each day we vacuum and pack out our tools, so you walk back into a clean work area.

  4. 04

    Straight answers on scope

If a small patch will hold, we say so. If a ceiling section needs full replacement, we explain why, whether that is soft gypsum, failed tape or a stain that keeps bleeding through.
